12 tags of Christmas

Here's the first one, it's the only one finished so far. Still waiting on supplies from ebay.

I know, I know ....

I haven't posted for ages, that's because life (and work) has been getting in the way.
I have recently been captured by Tim Holtz's 12 tags of christmas and have started getting together some supplies to do these.
This is my start on a few backgrounds. I really love the inks, my first brush with them about 6 years ago wasn't a success but now I know more about them, they are fantastic.
Anyway, I am still waiting on some dies to arrive (don't you love ebay when there are no outlets handy), but this is a start.

Made a couple of these yesterday ... the one on the right has the Kaisercraft dahlia. Looks pretty and sooo easy.

I am too busy at work these days to scrap but I did go for a walk the other day.

With nothing better to do on a rainy morning, I sat down with my fiskars border punches and worked out templates for squares and rectangles to use them.
These are what I have come up with. The photos are not the best (I think my batteries are going flat) but you should be able to see the measurements.

The foreground wasn't really that dark, must learn how to lighten it .... or use Photoshop!

Park visitor

Just happened to look towards the beach this afternoon and this guy was heading into the underbrush. He was quite comfortable with me taking photos but I didn't want to get any closer in case he changed his mind.

Embellishment swaps

These are for two swaps at Artistic Document. We could do anything, so for one I did a mix of diecuts and the other one is an Easter embellie.

I have changed my blog following Toni's instructions at Artistic Document.(sorry, can't get the link to work). It was very easy and I can see more changes coming in the near future.

Washed up on the beach ......

We are getting several of these bluebottle jellyfish washed up on the beach each day. I don't think they will kill you but could deliver a nasty sting even after they are dead.

Cupcake Pincushion

I made this little cutie today. Its a pincushion with room inside for thimbles, tapes etc. Very easy to make.

Paper roses tutorial

Susan has used flowers cut with a cricut but I used the CP2 Vinca punch, just makes a smaller rose. I also cut one flower in a darker colour to make the centre.

Cute visitor

I had this cute little guy on one of my plants yesterday. At one point he was looking right at me up close as if he wanted to say something ... so adorable!

Getting the van settled again on my new site. Council has been putting a floor in my annexe today, will finish it tomorrow, I hope so that I can get everything into place again. We had rain last night with the annexe all open and I guess there will be more tonight so it will be good to get it closed up.
Will try to post a photo I took from my van steps. Tried last night and it wouldn't upload. No, still won't work.

Changes .........

I'm thinking its time to change the look of my blog, but I am moving my van to a new site this week, so I will leave it till after that. My new site is closer to the beach, I will post pics when I get set up.
